It’s been six years since three-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared from a Portuguese vacation resort, while vacationing there with her family. Today, British police are releasing two new computer-generated images of a person they say they want to interview in the case.
The new person of interest is thought to be white, between the ages of 20 – 40 years old, with short brown hair, and a medium build. Back when Maddie first disappeared, there were witnesses at the resort who claimed to see an individual carrying a child away from the resort. The new sketches are based on descriptions from two separate witnesses.
Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, will also make an appeal tonight on BBC’s “Crimewatch,” which is essentially Britain’s version of “America’s Most Wanted.” There will also be a new re-enactment of the night of May 3, 2007, the night Maddie went missing.
British investigators say there have been some significant changes to the timeline, as well. What we have known up to this point is that the McCanns went to dinner at about 8:30 PM that night, leaving their three young children in the resort room while they ate nearby. At approximately 10 PM, Kate McCann goes to check up on the kids and finds Maddie missing.
I’ll update with the new info below.
