In yet another twist in the case of a missing teen from Virginia, investigators have allegedly told reporters that they have a new person of interest. 17-year-old Alexis Murphy was last seen on a video surveillance at a gas station in Lovingston in August 2013. You can read my prior posts about Alexis HERE.
48-year-old Randy Taylor was arrested last month and charged with Alexis’ abduction. New reports have now surfaced, saying that police have interviewed a new person of interest, someone who they have known about and have wanted to talk to since the beginning of the investigation.
According to WTVR, this new person of interest is a “second” person of interest, so this definitely doesn’t mean that Randy Taylor is off the hook in any way. Randy remains behind bars, and has been denied bond.
According to his lawyer, Randy claims that he and Alexis met up with a drug dealer, and that Alexis went off with him. He has maintained his innocence.
Meanwhile, Alexis is still missing. Local residences and businesses have put up pink ribbons all around the town, and the search for her continues. It’s been almost two months since her disappearance.

UPDATE: 10/24/13 11:30 AM
Randy Taylor is set to go on trial for Alexis’ abduction on February 3, 2014.
