Tonight, a search is on for 20-year-old Heather Elvis, who was reported missing by her father on Thursday, December 19. Heather’s missing person poster says that she was last seen at about 2 AM at 541 White River Drive (A), in Myrtle Beach. Her car was found later that day, abandoned at Peachtree Landing (B) in nearby Socastee, South Carolina.

At this point, it’s unclear what she was doing at that address or who she was with. Her last known contact with anyone was a phone call around 3 AM, the night she disappeared. Police haven’t released any info about that contact either.
Police say her car didn’t reveal any clues as to where she might be, but they have been searching the surrounding areas for any trace of her.
Heather’s family has started a Find Heather Elvis Facebook Page, where you can download flyers to pass out. Her employer, Tilted Kilt in Myrtle Beach, issued a statement:
Tilted Kilt is saddened by the news of the disappearance of one of its employees who works at the Myrtle Beach pub. Anyone with information regarding Heather Elvis’s whereabouts should call the Horry County Police Department at 915-5350 to assist with their investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the parties involved.
I’ll keep updating as more info become available.
UPDATE: 12/30/13 8:27 AM
I’ve found some clarification on what Heather was doing on December 19, the night she disappeared. She had reportedly been out on a date, and had been dropped off at home around 2 AM. She was last heard from at about 3 AM, after making a phone call to her roommate to reportedly talk about the date. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
The reward for info leading to Heather’s whereabouts has been increased to $25,000. Anyone with information can call 915-TIPS or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
