After a four-week trial, David Pietz was found guilty moments ago of the second-degree murder of his wife, Nicole. Jurors found him guilty of strangling Nicole and dumping her body in the woods.

The trial was a pretty interesting one to follow, and it was based solely on circumstantial evidence. Prosecutors brought on four different women who claimed that they had affairs with David while he was married. They painted the picture of a man who desperately wanted out of his marriage.
The defense, clearly not thinking the State proved their case, only put on two witnesses. David himself chose to not testify.
Sometimes I find it difficult to keep track of all these husbands who kill their wives. You’d think that after Scott Peterson, Hans Reiser, Drew Peterson, Jason Young, etc., that maybe these guys would think about getting a divorce before finding themselves in front of a jury for murdering their wives.
