15-year-old Danielle Locklear has been missing since March 11, 2014 after leaving her grandparents’ house, and today, police announced that her boyfriend has confessed to murdering her. You can read my prior post about Danielle HERE.
17-year-old Je’Michael Malloy reportedly confessed to choking Danielle to death and stuffing a sock into her mouth, after getting into an argument with her. He told police that he and a friend tied her body to cinder blocks and then tossed her into the South River at the Cumberland-Sampson line.
Authorities found a body in the river last week, but are awaiting a positive ID to announce whether or not it’s Danielle.
Je’Michael reportedly confessed to the detective who found the body, and he and his friend were both taken into custody on Tuesday. Je’Michael has been charged with second degree murder, and his friend, 18-year-old Dominic Lock, has been charged with conspiracy.
Late last week, police executed search warrants on two homes, including Je’Michael’s house.
What a tragic end to such a beautiful girl.
UPDATE: 4/30/14 10:10 AM
Malloy’s bond has been increased from $100,000 to $500,000.
