Brittanee Drexel Update: Investigators Confirm She Was Killed, After Being Held For Days

June 8, 2016

Brittanee Drexel

Authorities held a much-anticipated press conference today, updating the public about the Brittanee Drexel case. Brittanee has been missing since April 25, 2009, after going on a Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach. You can read my first post about Brittanee HERE.

Investigators told reporters today they are confident that after Brittanee was last seen on surveillance video leaving the Blue Water Resort, she “travelled” to the McClellanville area and was there for several days, alive. Investigators believe she was held against her will and then killed.

This is the first time anyone in law enforcement has come out and said that she is no longer alive.

The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Brittanee’s death.

Dawn Drexel, Brittanee’s mom, also spoke at the press conference and acknowledged the fact that after 7 years of hoping, she now knows her daughter isn’t coming home alive.

Heartbreaking.
